Vintage Mother Earth News MagazinesThis past week I found a recipe for Lavender Laundry Detergent in Mother Earth News. The recipe looks like it makes quite a bit so I'm going to half it. Here it is:
16 cups baking soda
12 cups borax
8 cups castile or glycerin soap flakes
3 tablespoons lavender, lemon or grapefruit essential oil
(remember that 8 ounces equal 1 cup if you have to buy by the ounce)
I couldn't find the soap flakes in the grocery store so I think I'l just look for them on line.
I would like to write something clever to end this post but not a thing is coming to me. My creative inspiration must not be in cleaning products.
